Welcome! (updated 2/16/06)
I'm a stay-at-home mom of two beautiful children and the
happy wife, of 10 years, of the man that God created *just
for me*. This is my second year of business on my own.
I've been beading since 2003, using a variety of techniques
including but not limited to: stringing, bead weaving, hemp
weaving, and chain maille. Take a look around and see
examples of my work!
I use a wide
variety of materials including (but not limited to) DelicaTM seed beads,
silver, semi-precious stone beads, crystal, handmade
lampwork beads and freshwater pearls. All of these come in
all kinds of shapes and sizes ... so the possibilities are
only limited by my imagination!
A couple of interesting things have happened recently
(January-ish of 2006). I was asked by
Ava Farrington to be part
of a day-by-day beading pattern calendar for 2007! One
or more of my patterns will be included in the calendar.
They'll be available at Borders, Amazon, Barnes & Noble,
Costco, and other outlets. Cool, huh?
The other item of interest came shortly after the calendar
request. Rita Sova at
www.bead-patterns.com
requested permission to distribute one of my patterns at the
Tuscon Bead Show - yeah, the HUGE one that people from all
over go to! - as an example of what could be found on the
pattern site. I was speechless!
In addition to beading, I'm a Sunday School teacher for 3rd
and 4th grade girls. I write the quarterly newsletter
for the
Flint Eastside Mission.
To have a hands on perspective, I work there one day each
week serving lunch, working in the clothing houses, food
pantry, etc. I consider myself blessed to have this
opportunity!
So, that's about it for updates from my corner of the
planet. . .
Take a look
around. Feel free to contact me with any questions,
comments and -yes- even orders! All pieces
done by me are one of a kind, and if you have an idea or look that you
like, I'll make something just for you! Also, please
note that I do private home shows. If you're in
Michigan, and interested in this, contact me for further
details.
A very special thank you to my wonderful husband, Jason!
He created this site for me, taught me how to update it, and
is a general all around source of encouragement with my
artistic efforts. When God created Jason, He was truly
thinking of me. . . I love you honey!
Here's a bit of eye candy for ya! It's a celini spiral
done with 11/0 Delicas and 15/0 seed beads. (added
